“TRI KAYA PARISUDHA AS EDUCATIONAL BASIS IN BUILDING NOBLE PEOPLE PARTICIPANTS”
Bali as one of the island that has the appeal of the cultural side has many local wisdom that values and meaning highly respected by the people of Bali. One of the much local wisdom whose value and meaning is highly esteemed by religious people, Hinduism is the concept of the teaching of Tri Kaya Parisudha. The concept of Tri Kaya Parisudha as one of local wisdom is the philosophy of life to make life harmonious. Are not human goals coexisting with each other to create a harmonious atmosphere? Based on the concept of Tri Kaya Parisudha there are three types of activities that must be controlled and harmonized with each other, namely the activity of the mind (manacika), the activity of words (wacika), and activity deeds (kayika).
Tri Kaya Parisudha comes from the word "Tri" meaning three; "Kaya" means behavior or deeds, and "Parisudha" which means good, clean, holy or purified. Tri Kaya Parisudha means three human behaviors in the form of thoughts, words, and deeds that must be sanctified. Purely mind, speech, and action are meant to mean good human behavior or human behavior that should not be polluted with bad behavior. The three behaviors of thinking, saying, and doing good must always be used as a guideline especially for Hindus and for mankind in general in daily life, so as to create a harmonious relationship between man and his environment, man with his neighbor, and man with great creator.
Tri Kaya Parisudha can also be interpreted as the three basic human behaviors that must be purified, namely manacika, wacika, and kayika. Manacika means good mind, wacika means good word, and kayika means good deeds. The existence of a good mind will underlie good words, so that good deeds will be realized as well. So basically words and deeds originated from the mind. A good mind will lead people to say or do well. From that principle, the very first thing that man must control is his mind. Things that affect the mind must always be preserved, such as the stability of the soul or emotion, the need for mental health and body, including the need for aesthetics. With a calm soul one can control his mind so that he can think clearly which will eventually be triggered in the form of good words and good deeds.
The Vedic Scripture teaches that humanity abstain from evil and sinfulness and to remove envy. Mankind to always do dharma, with sweet sayings should and always do good. Man should also always purify his mind and his Buddha. The statement is the same as taught in Tri Kaya Parisudha that is thinking well, saying good and doing good. Thinking well, saying good and doing good become the basis and guide of life for Hindus and for mankind in general, so that the harmony, tranquility and peace in the life of society can be created according to the purpose of Hindu religion and the purpose of education in general, (Nyoman 2007).
Manacika is derived from Sanskrit, derived from the word manana which means thought, so manacika Parisudha is the thought that must be purified. Like envy and jealousy. Everything begins from the mind, the good mind is the application of religious values that will ultimately lead one to the path of dharma. The thought of wavelike ripples that will occasionally appear on the surface and occasionally will disappear so as good as his mind must be controlled as a step of control for the good and the glory, the thought which in Sanskrit comes from the word manana which means thought, then this thought develops into prayer, so then what is in mind is essentially a prayer that will ultimately bear fruit.
Wacika comes from the word wacana which means word, so Wacika Parisudha is a word that must be purified. Such as being rude, lying, berating, and slandering others is a bad deed, even more so it is done before the public, in public. To dare to speak abusively, to criticize the elderly or the elder, words are utterances that are issued by means of mouth utterances, oral words issued by mouth should be attempted so that anyone we talk to is not feeling insulted. Words such as a very sharp knife that can hurt anyone, so therefore control the word by always saying a good word in order to maintain harmony for others.
Kayika comes from the word craft which means work or do, so Wacika Parisudha is an act that must be sanctified, Such as, stealing, adultery, and hurting or killing other creatures. Good and noble behavior rules that should guide human life. A good action is aimed at fostering harmonious relationships or harmonious relationships between a person and the living beings, harmonizing harmony between the family forming the society and the society itself, between one nation and another and between humans and the natural surroundings. (Darmawan 2015)
With good, holy and righteous thoughts will bear speech / speech and behavior of the smooth and sacred deeds. With the thought and the words or words that are subtle and holy will manifest my actions and good behavior, and true also. Likewise the opposite is the behavior, speech / words in control by the mind.
The concept of Tri Kaya Parisudha when associated with education must have a very close relationship. Education today is certainly not only a numerical is not it? However, it is also associated with the planting of moral values to form a good and positive character. Educating children to have a consistent character between what is thought, and what is said then what is done is something that needs to be trained consistently, disciplined and sustainable. It is very important for the child to form a child of discourse (faithful to the word) and satya semaya (faithful to the promise).
The concept of local wisdom Tri Kaya Parisudha worthy to be used as a foundation in educating children. The proof of the consummation of value and meaning in the concept of Tri Kaya Parisudha has been very much applied in social life in society, that is by always educating children to think well, then saying good, full of courtesy and karma, and do good and positive according to rules and norms prevailing in society to create a safe, comfortable and peaceful atmosphere. Doing good is also associated with upholding a sense of tolerance and empathy, especially tolerance among religious people; this is due to the condition of the Indonesian state rich in ethnic, religious, and intergroup diversity, (Ari, 2016).
In this context why is the child being the object or target of the application of the concept of Tri Kaya Parisudha? This is due to the authors' concerns about progress in the field of information technology and science that is developing at this time. Of course the progress of information technology and science is very good and has become a necessity in facing the challenges of globalization, but if the character or mental of the recipient of the progress of science and information technology is not balanced with a strong planting of good character values, would certainly reduce the essence from the progress of science and information technology itself.
The most worrying thing is the progress of information technology. Information technology that can be anytime and anywhere accessible through gadgets by the younger generation makes everything fast, including one of the fastest things to do is make a promise to then quickly and easily cancel.
If the child has been equipped with a strong foundation of the concept of Tri Kaya Parisudha, in making all his decisions the child will be more cautious. Because, early on in the mind of the child has been embedded attitude to always think good, say good and do well. And, by educating children with the foot of the concept of Tri Kaya Parisudha can form a child of "high tech and high touch" in the sense that the child belonging to the millennial generation is mastering high information technology and balanced with good and positive characters such as having a sense tolerance, empathy, honesty, courtesy and other positive attitudes. Therefore, synergy is needed from the family environment, school environment and community environment to help fully give the child an understanding related to the concept of Tri Kaya Parisudha. Because, without a strong foothold on the values of local wisdom, it will form the character of a child who "high tech, but low touch" means that a child does have a good knowledge in information technology, but does not have good character, (Yuliandari, 2017).
Man is a creature of God who has advantages compared with other creatures. Humans have the advantage of manas or manah. Manas or manah it means mind. The mind is the essence of everything. Of the three elements of Tri Kaya Parisudha, the mind is the ultimate, which can lead to the existence of words and deeds. Therefore the mind is the most important to be controlled. So, essentially humans are creatures that actively think. From that fact, human beings have two characters or mind traits namely good thoughts and bad thoughts. A good mind becomes a guide to say and do well, otherwise a bad thought will lead one to say and do bad things.
Tri Kaya Parisudha is thinking well, saying good, and doing good, should be done as well as possible. Empirically the reality of human life, we often encounter two human traits of human beings who behave well and humans who behave badly. It is also often found in schools, learners who behave well and learners who behave badly or poorly. Behavior of students who are good or not good are equally likely to change. Good behavior can be better or can be bad, otherwise bad behavior can turn out to be good or worse. This can be attributed to several factors that can support and impede the cultivation of the ethical values contained in Tri Kaya Parisudha, (Riko, 2015).
Certainly the parents do not want their children to be a generation of intelligent but defective people in behavior. A good character will not only have a good impact on the child, but the good name of the family will always be well preserved. Therefore, the good name of the family is not only a responsibility and is determined by one person only, but determined completely by all parties in the family. Do not let us live in the middle of the era of "smart phone but dumb people". Do not let the "thumb" that we use to say other people good through thumbs up we instead use to spread bad information about and for others. Hopefully with a firm footing of the value and meaning of the concept of Tri Kaya Parisudha able to make humans nobler, dignified and character.
